    The Solution

Yesterday during praise and worship at you(th) I was so intrigued again by these lyrics that I'm going to post in a minute. Jesus is The Solution. Politics can't help us, money can't help us. All we need is Jesus in every circumstance.
It makes me so mad and sad at the same time that there are people out there, not only in the Least Developed countries, but here around us, who don't have anything, who are desperate, who are alone, who hunger, who thirst. And yet we just sit around and do nothing or when we do something it is talk. I understand that not everybody can go to places but everybody can do a little bit. Pray, give some money, smile at the beggar at the corner of the street, show them they are not invisible. Changing the world doesn't start by you flying to Africa building fountains or giving food. Changing the world starts in your neighborhood, in your community, in your city, your country. And that will effect the nations and ultimately the world. So don't just sit around and be comfortable, get yourself uncomfortable. Jump out of the boat, get wet and change YOUR world.

Along with this I am posting the Hillsong United Solution lyrics:

"It is not a human right
    To stare not fight
    While broken nations dream
Open up our eyes, so blind
    That we might find
    The Mercy for the need

    Singing, Hey now
Fill our hearts with your compassion
    Hey now
As we hold to our confession

It is not too far a cry
    To much to try
To help the least of these
    Politics will not decide
    If we should rise
And be your hands and feet

    Singing, Hey now
Fill our hearts with your compassion
    Hey Now
As we hold to our confession

    Woah-oh-oh,
    God be the solution
    Woah-oh-oh
We will be Your hands and be Your feet.
    Yeah, yeah

    Higher than a circumstance
    Your promise stands
Your love for all to see
Higher than all protest lines and dollar signs
Your love is all we need

Only You can mend the broken heart
And cause the blind to see
    Erase complete the sinners past
    And set the captives free
Only You can take the widows cry
And cause her heart to sing
Be a Father to the fatherless
    Our Savior and our King
We will be Your hands, we will be Your feet
We will run this race for the least of these
In the darkest place, we will be Your light
    We will be Your light

We will run we will run
We will run with the solution

We will be Your hands we will be Your feet
We will run this race for the least of these
In the darkest place we will be Your light
    We will be Your light
    We sing"

    Our worship will be...

Yesterday at you(th) Layne Schranz preached about relationship vs religion and how our worship differs within the two.
So he gave us 4 points that will happen in our worship if we have a real relationship with Jesus:

    1. If we have a real relationship our worship will happen anywhere
I think that is so awesome because our worship should really not only be in church or at youth. It should be everywhere we go, even in the dark places where nobody can see it. If it comes from our heart our worship will be everywhere because it is our lifestyle.

    2. If we have a real relationship our worship will bring freedom to others
This amazes me because when we truly worship, others will see Jesus in our lives and by Him they will be set free! So lets live a life that is so full of worship that people will find freedom.

    3. If we have a real relationship our worship will be physical
How can you just stand around and not move and be excited when your heart is full of a love for Christ! When we have this true intimate relationship with Jesus and when we just love him deeply it will be seen on the outside and cannot be hidden.

    4. If we have a real relationship our worship will not care about what others think about you
Hey, it's not about what our friends think or if they like us. It is about our relationship with Jesus! And if this relationship is right and true and intimate and if we just love Jesus, then we won't care about what the others think or say becasue we know what Jesus thinks and says.

Just thought I'd share these 4 points with you. I think they are so encouraging yet challenging at the same time to really examine our worship and our relationship with Jesus. People, let's move to the next level, let's make a step forward in our worship.

Hope that you are not the same today than you were yersterday. Change is good.

    Much love.
    xoxo

    The Release of Potential

Today I want to adress a quote that was read at you(th) yesterday that just struck me. Let me write it to you. It is about the subject of what potential is:

"We must come into an awareness of our potential. Potential is hidden capacity, untapped power, unreleased energy. It is all you could be but haven´t yet become. Potential is who you really are, in accordance with your vision, even if you don´t yet know your true self. Potential is the person who has been trapped inside you because of false ideas of who you are--either your own or others." ~Myles Munroe

Wow! Just thinking of that makes me want to release that potential. But really, think about it. So often we are hindered by wrong images we have about ourselves or by being self-conscious. But if we saw ourselves through God's eyes... we would really see. You can read Psalm 139 about you. And then often when we are around the same people year after year, they cannot see the change or sometimes that potential and automatically put us in a box. But we must be out of this box in order to release the potential. Don't let false ideas others have about you because you once were different hinder you from reaching your full potential!

Today I want to challenge you to write down some of the craziest dreams, vision and ideas of what you want to be or do. Then give them to the Lord and let Him reach His potential in you!

    xoxo

    Rock the Ballet

As many of you know I had the great opportunity of going to see Rasta Thomas' Rock the Ballet and meeting some of the dancers last week.
It was one of the best dancing I have ever seen! My eyes were filled with tears almost throughout the entire piece as it was so beautiful, strong, energetic, fun and emotional.

Let me just share this video with you as it says more than I could try to explain in words!

If you get the chance to go and see the show - go!

    Trust Me

Sometimes you listen to a song and the lyrics just strike you. Trees (hallways of leaves) by Sleeping at last is one of these songs. I listened to it and the lyrics just took my imagination and brought me to another place.
    Follow them with me:

    It's just beyond those trees...
The place I've been dreaming of.
    Will you follow me?

Trust me, I know where I'm going.

It's somewhere here within the leaves...
    There must be some mistake...

Trust me, I know where I'm going

We'll cut a path out for us
    Through the green seas,
    We'll make hallways of leaves.

I know it seems it was just some crazy dream
And I know my eyes were closed
But this dream feels more real to me
    Than life itself.

My ear is pressed upon this wall.
For behind it is that place.

    The door is locked...
    I'll do whatever it takes

(you have to) Trust me, I know where I'm going.

    Will you follow me?
    Will you follow me, still?

In the moments that I feel
    We're closer than ever before
The world drops out from under our feet.
But I believe the darkest of fights
    Prove we're almost there.

    There is always something there
to take our hearts like thieves
    There is always something there
to take our hearts (But nothing matters.)
There is always something there to take

    When we arrive
    We will hear
    Voices sing.

    Nothing matters.
    Nothing matters anymore
    Nothing matters anymore, anymore, anymore.

    It's beginning to get dark.
    But don't worry,
    I know where we are,
    I know where we are.
    Will you follow me, still?

    The Walk down the Aisle

This week I read a quote that made me ponder a lot about my life and how I live it, so I wanted to share it with you that you may ponder on it and ask yourself a few questions about how you live your life.

"The Lord doesn't want to walk down the aisle with a bride who's been out with someone else the night before."- Chris Hodges

What kind of life do you live?
How will your walk down the aisle with Jesus look like?

I believe that there is no more time for mediocraty in our walk of faith... use each day, live it to the fullest with the Lord, let Him fill you, use you and make yourself available to Him.

Along with that I am posting a song that intrigued me over the last couple days too.

    xoxo

About Me

  • Describing myself in short is by far the hardest thing to do...I'm a girl and talkative... so there's always more to say. Therefore all I'm gonna say is that I love Jesus Christ. My life with Him is an adventure. Every day is exciting and filled with joy. I live by going against the flow and challenging the status quo constantly!
